well I have a puppy for you if you are ready....my only interest is finding homes that offer good care and I find that good care is related to kindheartedness and openness in the personality of the owner,  qualities called empathy

I can't tell you what to do but in my opinion and the way I treat my dogs is that I am not fond of dog food especially kibble....I view it as a hodgepodge of chemicals and chicken fat poured over parched corn and whose main attribute is that it is designed not to go sour in a bag for more than 1 year...the people that make it have no real concern about cancer...they are concerned that it not spoil in the bag hence all the preservatives...all the rest is just TV hype and salemanship..... I believe it contributes to dog cancer .....my dogs are fed human grade meat, usually fresh roasted chicken and turkey but actually whatever is on sale at a good price in the market,  fresh ten pound bags of chicken here sells for $0.39 to 0.49 per pound while kibble sells for around 0.62 per pound, but I have fed  and continue to feed them roast beef and roast pork, cheese, good quality beef sausage and whatever it looks like they might enjoy...they are very efficient eaters and eat bones and all so there is never any waste...in addition I mix the cooking roast drippings with cooked rice, macaroni,  and fresh collards and cook it up for half an hour  and season to taste and they like that also,  nothing is ever wasted .....

the other thing I do is that I don't spay and neuter my dogs, I believe it alters the tervuren personailty and I like the dogs to be in their normal state anyway thats what I do .....all street strays and mixes should be seriously considered for sterilization,  but these purebred tervurens are too valuable....you are doing the right thing to get another puppy promptly...tervs are especially endearing dogs and in my eyes they are what the archetypal normal dog should be

the following letters answer several concerns....

Hello Mr. G......

thank you for your message and charming photos....I believe we can find a puppy for you....this present litter has only 5 puppies and I believe we will be having another litter in a few months time......once a good home is identified the puppies go on a first come first served basis except for returning miltary and combat veterans who receive a preference and bump others off the list....a preference is also possible for people who have certain kinds of disabilities, certain law enforcement and search and rescue requests,  and also to tervuren breeders who are having trouble expanding their genetic base..

...interest in the present litter has been fairly strong but in spite of that nobody has yet seen fit to donate to the Salvation Army and therefore their interest has not been taken very seriously so far....a donation to the Salvation Army does not guarantee you a puppy but it certainly helps whereas a failure to donate to the Salvation Army disqualifies for a puppy....

to receive a puppy

1) donation $40 to Salvation Army with copy of receipt to me by email please

2) when the time comes, pick up the puppy in person here as I don't ship puppies

3) your word and promise that you will always feed only good wholesome home cooked meat foods and avoid kibbles

4) that if the puppy displeases you or plans change over time that the puppy will be returned to me and not dropped off at a shelter

5) I also discourage people from spay/neuter unless there is a very overwhelming reason because a neutered tervuren lacks correct personality and appearance in much the same way that a kibble fed tervuren also ceases to look and act like a healthy gorgeous vigorous tervuren over time

There is no charge for the puppy.  If you decide to become a serious purebred tervuren breeder then AKC papers are also available at no charge at some later time. I try to give the sex of puppy people have asked for but cannot guarantee it.  Hope this has answered some of your questions.  The puppies from this litter will be assigned beginning at 10 weeks of age.

Hello Mrs. K.....

we have no application potocols or forms and we do not charge money for our puppies.......its probably better for your friend to contact me directly by email so I can get some idea of his situation........anything he can say and do to reassure me that he has a kind heart and can provide a good home for a Tervuren will be very helpful
